Vista is a "shiny" os, just like mac os has always been. "cool looking" has NEVER been MS forte; It's a competition for looks and style, not for structural dynamics or efficiency.
Me personally, I hate it. After two decades of being around computers, I have learned that if it doesn't feel or look right, it probably isn't good.
In all fairness, XP was a terrible RC.
