    1. - The electoral college is a good thing, because without it, no one outside of CA, NY, FL, PA, and TX matters.

That depends on how you look at it. By using the electoral college, the outcome from my state is the same if I stay home as it is when I vote.
I live in a state that would vote for a rock if it ran as a republican. No democratic candidate has a chance. Registered republicans outnumber registered democrats 3 to 1.
I knew when I went to the booth my vote meant nothing.

If it were popular vote however, my vote would have added one more to the total instead of 0 to the total.

Popular vote would also increase voter turnout. I know people who don't even vote anymore because they're outnumbered so badly.

My own record for knowing pi is 3.14159265358979. This much is forever logged in long term memory. I was on a quest in 7th grade when my math teacher told me he would give me an A if I could recite from memory the first 100 digits of pi. At the time I thought it was a good Idea. Now, 11 years later, I wish I could take it all back.

There will always be advances in tech that will prolong the life of x86. There will always be an extension to the limit that will never be touched. The question should be When will the next device come out that will make throwing a few $1000 billion dollars worth of investment out the window feasible? I think this is the problem with all products. That and that damn least common denominator BS.

If a law is passed, does it not affect everyone? Just because I didn't help in the decision doesn't mean I'm not required to comply.
