Doesn't make it any less of a STATE law, proving they exist which is not what was said above:
"This is 100% complete and utter fabricated bullshit. There is no such law."

What about Canada? And Upstate New York? NYS doesn't end at the GW Bridge. Up until recently where it is not profitable to do so, many people worked in Canada and crossed that border every day, twice a day. This license would, in theory, help make their commute faster.

    From the article:
I contacted the North Bergen, NY police department .. According to Officer Rovelo, it is a state law that a person must carry an ID on them at all times.... He then went on to say that you would not get cited in accordance with this law, but rather the more recent "failure to produce ID" or obstruction code. And to re-confirm, this is indeed a state, not municipal or county ordinance.

Has everyone lost touch with what it's like to be a teenager? The constant desire to "fit in" with a certain crowd and the excitement of someone wanting to be with you? This girl was young enough to still be under these influences but not mature enough to understand she should just delete her account, or stop talking to him, or talk to someone about how she feels and what has happened. Hell, I don't think people twice her age have the maturity to walk away. Her mother stated previously that her daughter had a history of depression and had been on anti-depressants and this other woman knew about it and preyed on that. Straight up pathetic coming from a grown woman with a daughter of her own. It's real easy to sit back and say this girl was weak willed and weak minded but she needed someone to show her how to deal with people like this, boys, and crazy people. I don't think manipulating or creating new laws can change the guidance teenagers require. While I agree this woman should be punished, I don't think new laws will help kids like this girl.

There is no electric current in a fiber optic cable. EMF if of no concern and the "line" does not heat up. For the amount of power that data transmission lasers use, it is not anywhere enough to heat up glass. One way I know the both the DoD and CIA are using to try and "reveal" signals through fiber is at the bends, since if the fiber is not *completely* straight, some of the signal is leaked into the cladding and can be captured. This was the master's thesis of a friend of mine in grad school. He got about 4 months into his research and was offered a job.

Hey thanks for posting that link. Led me to WRIR - a radio station not afraid to play bluegrass! Very cool.

I can't really support a cry for "Democracy Now!", though - I would really prefer that we restore the Constitutional Republic that we're supposed to be. Democracy is just the tyranny of the majority (as Nieche said). (ouch I'm sure I mangled the spelling...).

Don't forget 2004: Bush was popularly elected...
