  1. You people are clueless on IE8 Will Contain an Accidental Ad Blocker · · Score: 1

Now, if Microsoft would just release patch to block all the freeloading internet users who think websites magically pay for themselves with fairy gold dust, we'd be in great shape. Not.

Honestly, who are you people who think that any mainstream website can exist without those ads you are blocking? Why don't you just unplug your computer now and stare at a blank screen because that's the internet without ads.

You fools are blocking the only source of revenue for many sites you enjoy.

  2. c'mon people, get with the program! on Evolution No Longer Worth Learning, Says Government · · Score: 1

You gotta keep the populace stupid if you want to bend them to your will. Educated people tend to develop all sorts of crazy ideas like self-determination, equality, and my personal favorite, that humans evolved from monkeys! So, obviously the best way to snuff out these crazy ideas is to get 'em while they're young.

Geez, it's like you people -want- to be smart.

  3. No one should be fired on Execs at AOL Approved Release of Private Data? · · Score: 1

Sending a few lambs to slaughter won't change the direction of the flock. If all the execs and management of this company were completed different people, the same decision would have been made.

  4. what the hell is IT anyway ... on Who are CIOs Planning to Hire Next? · · Score: 1

I've noticed that old (pre-internet era) companies use "IT" as the umbrella term for anything technical where newer, more tech-savvy companies separate product development (software engineering, web dev, qa, etc) from "IT," reserving the latter term for systems, support, operations, and networking.

To generalize, I really wonder if the trends of these old companies with their archaic processes really have any meaning to the rest of us. Maybe the companies in this article emphasize greater business-savvy because their business models are disappearing and they don't stand a chance on the technical side anyway.
