IIRC, Alanis Morissette was on MTV not a month ago bitching that MP3's were wrong, that even legally doing it was a waste of money, blah blah blah, FUD FUD FUD.
You had to wait for packages to install? Did you not use menuconfig? "make menuconfig" is a handy, dandy, menu-driven type of thing. Much easier. Set it and forget it.
Lack of platform standardization? Supply the source and we'll compile it!! It's irrelevant as a client platform? I do all of my computing in Linux now...I only boot into Win95 when my roomates need to use their programs, and that's once in a blue moon. I've never seen a Win95 client with 55 days of uptime, either.
