I think its a joke. The line "If you have forced this error condition, you may be in violation of state, federal, and/or civil laws. Those outside the United States should check with their respective governments concerning their country's extradition treaty. Dissemination of this error is also strictly prohibited." is the tip off.

Days away?!?! Slashdot needs to post stories much faster.

My new Toshiba running Win98 SE lets me tweak everything. CPU (full, high, med, low), screen (bright, dim, low[and they mean REALLY low]), fan (on/off), USB port (on/off), modem (on/off), and how soon to turn off the monitor/HDD/shutdown after inactivity. Its really nice.
I just got one for christmas and its great... Wheel, wheelbutton, and two thumb buttons... also the glowing red this is cool to look at... Not sure if theres a driver for X, i use Win98...
I must be missing something... maybe the pieces are wrong... I dont understand the letter-number thing... Move the right knight 2 forward and 1 left; 2 right and 1 forward; 2 forward and 1 left; 2 forward and 1 left. Gee that was really easy... could someone tell me how the board is lettered-numbered?
I use www.amexmail.com for my non-spam account (ie: the one I DONT advertize on slashdot). They have a deal with usa.net so its a nice short extention. They also offer POP and Web access, they go down occasionally for mainteance(sp?) from 1-5 in the morning (EST), and sub-folders, filters, etc.
One probelm, how am i gonna get it on the computer. I cant download to the computer (almost everything is proxied out), i cant put it on a floppy can copy it (no access to Explorer), i cant boot off a disk (boot order is set to C:,Network,A: and BIOS is password protected). Thanks for the help anyway:)
I agree that its not Mozilla, but theres another down fall. The original idea was to make a web browser that could fit on a floppy to stop all the 75 MB (FULL IE5 install) downloads. But now its 1.9 MB (which isnt bad at all on 56k, about 6 min) therefore it dosent fit on a floppy. So i think the entire browser is pointless and im going back to IE5 cause it comes on these free CD's.
My school recently recieved some computers from a company called ZapMe! They are completely locked down WinNT boxes that atuomatically log themselves on (so you cant guess at the admin password). All keyboard shortcuts are disabeled (including ctrl-alt-del) so you cant get anywhere. The only way to do anything is to take out the BIOS battery (BIOS is password protected), change the boot order to A:,C: and pop in a boot disk. A simple locking case could stop you from doing all that. So, yes, a Windows box can be made secure.
(I know this is a bit late in the thread, but...) The old processors were 386's with.5 MB RAM a piece. The new 486's have 2 MB RAM a piece. Also, I think the new processors were all together in one assembly because a MSNBC article says there were approx 1000 pins in the unit they had to connect.
IANAL, but I think I understand what your saying. If you already own the Windows version, can you *acquire* the Linux binaries and then use it with your own pak0.pk3 and CD Key. I think the answer is NO. Thats like saying you buy Micros~1 Office for Windows and then borrowing the Mac version from a friend. Your using the same CD key twice which is just like piracy. However if you uninstall Q3A in Windows then it is legal, becuase it's just changing the machine its running on.
So my final answer (ack, I hate that show) is yes if you remove it from Windows first, but no if you dont.
LinuxOne is positioned to quickly become a leading provider of Linux software.
Yeah right. Their going to out do RedHat or SuSE or Caldera? I think not.
The Company's extensions to the Linux software kernel will rapidly distinguish its products from all other available Linux software. LinuxOne intends to develop operating system and application software tailored to support a wide variety of platforms, business environments, and markets. LinuxOne has an exceptional management team that possesses the experience and proven skills necessary to quickly establish the company as one of the world's preferred providers of Linux software.
What are they going to make that Linux dosen't already do? What platform are they going to add? At the rate other companies are going, my left pinky toe will be able to run Linux:) Great management team? Try great BS team.
Robert E. Philips, B.S. Physics, BS Philosophy, MBA Marketing, and MBA Extended Edition in High Technology Management, has been a founding executive for numerous Silicon Valley startup firms. He has been responsible for business plans, proposals, collateral materials, advertising, and public relations. His technical background in hardware, software, and network technologies provides him with considerable insight into high-technology products.
And having a Bachelors in Physics and Philosophy is going to make him a good marketer? How? And whats this Extended Edition crap? Makes it sound like a car not a degree. He has been the founding executive for numerous Silicon Valley startup firms? What are they? Are they all bankrupt? Probably, thats why he went on to Linux, its a new field to try.
OK, enough of my rant, this company is a disgusting pile of bullshit and I am not going to waste any more of my time complaining about it!
Going from $.25 to $.75 is a 300% increase! Thats a lot. Becuase the share price is small, people will buy thousands of shares. It would be just the same if it went from $60 to $180 a share.
I use both hands, but i have found that if you tell me to type a "t" (which i just had to look for to find) or any other letter, i cant. I have to look. However i can type almost everything because i have memorized where the letters are in realtion to other letters in the word.
Rant Why did the police take their stuff? Have they commited any crime? How about if you searched for "finance" and it came up with Schwab AND Leonardo, would they go after Schwab? This is so stupid its incomprehendible(sp?)!!! End rant
I meant Rob and Nate.
If you download the MP3 and look at the ID3 tag under Genre it says "Pop". Very funny Rob and Neal and whoever else.

All NTFS formatted partitions will go corrupt in the year 26610 (or something close).
One small correction...
Janurary came from the latin word "ianua" which means door. Janurary is the doorway to the new year.

EB Online has it here. Interestingly enough, they put the Linux version under Buissness Software!
EB = Electronic Botique(sp?) and is a mail order catalog with some stores. Check it out at www.ebworld.com.
Frys is another software store.

Why would you put a 1.2 GB HDD in it? E-mail? No. Faxes? No. Linux Kernel/OS? No. Ok, thats all of my ideas, what are yours?
Just a nitpick...
If you turn the wheels right you should have it go clockwise, if you turn them left you should have it go counterclockwise...
