I don't care how easy it is to chat and share files, that does not really make teams work that well together. Teams need to be sharing the right information that actually helps them reach decisions.
One thing that always kept me from taking time to do things the right way is that it takes a long time to figure out where to start. Doing it right actually does not take a super long time when you know exactly what you need to do.
Doing things the right way myself is one thing. But getting other people on the team to do it the right way take can a LOT of explaining, and we end up arguing little points that are a total waste of time.
This project on freshmeat a few days back. It's HTML templates for test plans, use cases, project risks, etc. That could help do things the right way a lot quicker.
How much would it cost some rich OSS supporter to burn millions of Mozilla CDs and distribute them in the mail or the malls? Highlighting the pop-up blocking would be enough for many non-geeks to switch.

SourceCast is something that
is really unique and needed to take open source
to the next level in terms of larger projects and corporate involvement. Sites like OpenOffice.org and Netbeans.org and OpenAdaptor.org and e-speak.net and MozDev.org all use SourceCast to bring their software to the people in a way that is better than any alternative.

One groupware "tool" for developers that I have been really happy with is http://readyset.tigris.org/.
