While I don't diminish in anyway the importance of the tech field and subjects [I'm at this site, aren't I?], I personally think there are way more important topics to focus on than this. Good thing to check out, but not a grab-your-vote taker.
I wish our science was far enough long that we could actually GO there to look at it. While, I think our endeavors at the moon and Mars are good, I think we need to look farther. Why don't we work more fervently at getting there, than focusing on "was there as some point in existence life there?" If we focus on being able to live there and travel farther, we may find a LOT more interesting things in my opinion.
I sometimes find it funny when scientists are surprised at something new that defies their logic. We live in a huge [poor word] existence [since we don't know how big and current words may not be enough]. I'm excited myself to the new discoveries that will continue to take place. I only wish I could live longer to see some of the major changes that I think will take place after a couple of centuries [if we still exist].
