As long as they had to depreciate capital assets, it was not justifiable to incur the expense. Now they can take the full amount off income, with carry forward and carry back.
AA only has about a three percent chance of success and it sets you up to relapse with a binge making much more likely to die than other methods. For me Rational Recovery worked. Said I am not sick just not taking personal responsibility.
