what on earth are you on about? Trusted CA certificates do provide very strong authentication, especially through EV certificates due to the stringent vetting. Just look at the browser vendors and the warning message displayed by them when a self signed certificate, expired or name mis-match certificate is used. Are you claiming that all browser vendors and CA's are in league with each other to scam the public? If you understood the actual vetting that a CA does then I am sure that you would endorse SSL certificates instead of rubbish them.
