Although I should be the *last* person to give out advice in these matters, I really feel that being yourself is the best way to meet and attract the mate of your dreams. I think I can speak for most of my fellow geeks in saying that we are not looking for one night stands or quick flings. We're looking for meaningful relationships in general. From a personal standpoint, I know that my eventual wife will be my spiritual complement. She will bring out the best in me and I will bring out the best in her. More importantly, she'll be my best friend. I'm still looking for her, but I know that I will find her one day. I know that most of you think this is sappy Jerry Maguire "You Complete Me" crap, but I'm a sappy kind of guy so:P
Between working 40 hours a week and going to school fulltime, I have approximately 48.5 minutes a week left over for leisure activities such as downloading porn and reading slashdot.
"About once a month during the academic year, Knuth comes down from the heights to a basement lecture room in the Gates Computer Science Building at Stanford to deliver one of his "Computer Musings" lectures, usually about some aspect of his current work on The Art of Computer Programming. These talks draw computer science students, visiting professors, software engineers from nearby companies and an occasional CEO. On a balmy day earlier this year, the topic and listeners are different. "
Has anyone been to one of these lecture series? Is it open to the general public?
Emu Systems (Emu-Ensoniq as it is called now) is a wholly owned subsidary of Creative Labs. If they want to release the source code to the SBLive! drivers, they can. It's all up to Creative, not Emu.

So do I. My point is that no one is calling those who watch TV for more than 4 hours a day addicts who need professional help.
Okay fine. I bet my 500MHz 21164 Alpha.. :)
How much time does the average American household spend watching TV on a daily basis? I would bet my K6-2 300 that it's more than 4 hours.
A G3 is faster in integer calculations than a PII running at comparable clock speeds. It is not faster in floating point when compared to the PII.
