True, it's not too fancy. However, XBMC is not meant to be a DVR. It just plays lots of video from lots of places. I just like having the ability to stay in XBMC and still be able to stream video from my mythtv backend.
XBMC won't record your tv shows, but it does act as a basic frontend. It can connect to a MythTV backend and stream live tv and recordings (without a plugin).
Instead of arresting him, the government should see what he is doing and see that he doesn't want the vote. Maybe they can learn something from it and better themselves so that next time so he will consider the vote more important than the money. I don't think it is right for him to be arrested just because he doesn't think voting is important. Maybe he doesn't care about his vote because there is nobody good to vote for...
I just wanted to mention that in my experiences network cards were much easier to set up in Linux and I have never had one not work OTB. This statistic is based on me trying over 30 cards (only 3 were new). It's not that I don't believe you, but of the 30 cards less than half worked in Windows OTB.
