    I couldn't agree more. Sounds like Apple would enjoy getting involved in this scenario, as it helps their own folks keep fresh. They might even give you a discount for volume!

    Well, upon digging around, I saw how YDL 3.0 doesn't yet support booting from Firewire drives, so it's a no-go for now. Once it supports this, I don't see how it wouldn't work.

    I couldn't agree more. Entourage X (and versions before it) also give you the option. I would like to see that in the next iteration of Mail.app.
