The one thing that is completely missed by the judge is that the death of corporate news is a Good Thing! (tm)
Big companies and the people who pay them off and/or own them have been telling us "what is going on" for far too long.
As the big news wires die off they will be replaced by a much more difficult to control/exploit wiki-type news reported/edited by people who were there and don't have some corporate/political axe to grind.
News is dead. Long live the news.

People are all just people. I'm embarrassed to be a part of a group apparently so stupid that this point needs to be made.
Patriotism and hatred of all things outside one's own country are merely tools that the elite use to control the actions of their own populace and make them do their bidding.
We are all just passengers on the same ball of dirt. Open your eyes and stop letting the sheep herders herd you like, well, a herd of stupid sheep!
The DEA undoubtedly has access to plenty of super secret spy satellites that would allow them to read the license plates on the trucks servicing the pot plants you claim can be seen by street view...in real time. Street maps is of no relevance in this instance.
Between this and the guy getting arrested for shooting his malfunctioning lawn mower...I think maybe it's time to pack up and leave this silly country. Is Australia or NZ this screwed up yet?
If you ask me, you're all giving the same knee jerk reaction here. Look a little deeper. Do you really think that when the presidents goons showed up with their guns and said "hand over the secret stuff", the phone company said "whew, we're glad you finally showed up. We have just been dying to give this secret info away to somebody!"
Get real. If the goons show up on your doorstep with their guns and their clout, are you going to say no? Why punish the phone company for caving to the US government? Instead, we should just haul GWB and Darth Cheney off to a maximum security prison and leave the phone company out of it.
