Hey Miguel it's fun to be using GNOME! This thing sure has come a long way... Of course the amount of work seems to also have gone up exponentially right along with the passage of time. As a fairly middle of the road professionally employed linux user I do a lot of installations and tweaking for security and stability. My question is this: When I go to install I normally try to keep the number of packages (yes I use RH mostly) to a minimum. However, what I find is that I almost always end up with alot of development libraries, running daemon's, and other stuff that I really don't know how safe it is to remove during or after the fact? Can you tell us for instance why enlightenment or GNOME seems to be dependant on say: 'esound'? Or in other words, is it safe to install without all those libraries under the 'development' context? Thanks, doulos
No busy signal either!!! This number was advertized at the following URL on their own site: http://www.networksolutions.com/dotcommail/email_a ccess.html but who knows how long it will be up. I called it and asked to speak to a supervisor, where I was then politely taken care of. I explained the matter of security compromise, and then politely requested the e-mail accounts to be removed for all of my domains in question.
When evolutionary theory is based on the theory of a geological column that could somehow represent the age of the earth, and the column itself is based on evolutionary theory, then you have a circular argument, and it should be acknowledged as such. I think it's great that the evo-theory isn't mandatory curriculem in that state anymore. I think it's great that some free thinking folks are questioning the established dogma and deciding that there may be other hypothesis worth teaching. Shoot, forty-nine other states still mandate this. What's the matter, can't we accept one being a little different? We're all such hypocrites. Why can't we be a little more forgiving and open minded toward one another? (I know why... Hurray for freedom, honesty and diversity!!!:-)
I like how the exchange went between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates just as Jobs realizes that Bill had stolen from the ideas that Jobs had stolen from Xerox:
Jobs says: "Our stuff is better..." Gates replies: "Your missing the point. THAT does'nt matter..." (something like that anyway:)
