TPB should head for Barbados or Antigua. They may even get official government support.
Both of those lovely little islands used to earn a lot of their income from internet gambling sites, until the US decided to block them, and break the rules of the WTO.
Now, if they were to host TPB, they would have some nice leverage with the US to help them come into line with the WTO policies.
One downside is the US spinning it to be they are countries that support (financial) terrorism, and soon enough those islands are surrounded by gunboats.
For a more appropriate analogy, think of an auto shop (gotta be a car analogy, right?). This shop specializes in servicing Dodge automobiles. You walk in and say "I need a Dodge Caravan carburetor installed in my Plymouth Voyager." Now, the Plymouth Voyager is exactly the same minivan as the Dodge Caravan; all the parts are exactly the same. The only difference is the little logo glued to it. Would it be silly for the mechanic to refuse to service your car because it doesn't have the Dodge logo?
Very bad analogy.
A Palm and an iPod are not the same thing.
This is more like someone who rebadged their Hyundai minivan to say it was a Dodge Caravan, and then expected Dodge parts to work properly with it.
You should really brush up on your history a little bit, because the US was invaded. The white house burned down to the ground. We don't ban flags, symbols, or discussions about the subject. We don't ban the confederate flag, or other civil war era material. Vietnam wasn't a war, it was a police action -- big difference. Burying your head in the sand and pretending something didn't happen or doesn't exist doesn't make you better, it just raises a new generation of ignorant citizens.
/[pedant]....speaking of brushing up on history...
The US was not invaded. At the time, it was still internationally recognised as a British Colony. The US did not exist until after the shit-storm had settled.
Vietnam WAS a war. KOREA was the Police Action.....something about a new generation of ignorant citizens?..../[end pedant]
