It takes a lot of motivation to do 4+ years of college while working fulltime. I often wonder if that energy might be better spent on learning independently or with a few friends.
I've taken this approach to computer science (my degree was mechanical engineering) since I'm kinda discovering a passion for computers... and I feel like it's paid off far more than 4 years in college (in terms of job offers, monetary rewards, etc).
Of course this style of education doesn't work for most people... it's worth considering though imho.
