There is a better book for beginers if you will as far as basic CSS. It is HTML, XHTML, & CSS 6th edition by Elizabeth Castro. This is an excellent reference, one I use almost daily.
I understand your being mad and you have every right to be upset.
I agree with Kneo24 by letting the public know who is working with these questionable practices.
On the same hand, putting information you are concerned about sharing on a third party server is a risk you should be aware of taking, and either stop using it or be more selective with what you load, even encrypt what you are worried about sharing.
