What ever you do don't expect all of them to get it or care. but if you can engage one or two of them then you've done something good. They are young people, not aliens. Just like adults some get it and some don't....just read all the comments.
Scratch, LEGO WeDo are good starting points. MIT Media lab has good stuff.
