gollum123 also links to additional tests indicating that Flash "[1]does not perform consistently worse on Mac than on Windows."
Well, guess what. Flash DOES perform consistently worse on Linux. Videos show immense tearing. Add some hardware acceleration and optimizations to the still very new HTML5 technology and it will beat out Flash no problem, I'd say.
Plenty of open-source developers out there coding for companies that have at least some commercial interests. And I'm not talking small companies per say, I'm talking Google, Sun and Intel, for example.
Me, I just like sharing to the world what I've made so others can potentially improve it. OSS is kind of like a charity if you think about it.
Given a dozen developers and a hard spec, Linux could be developed in 8 to 9 months.
With that amount of code, and the geniuses that are already working on it? And you expect any hardware to work, since thousands of people have worked on the drivers? No chance in hell.
You're... against... HTML5 standards? My first reaction is to scream DIAF, but I'll ask nicely first: what you could you possibly not be "particularly fond of" with respect to the Internet finally working as it fucking should?
Well, I didn't mention speed. But that's a good thing, at least.
Special. It's off by default. The option is known as Opera Turbo.
Only if you use Opera Mini. It's a special setting on Opera Mobile. I turn it on or off when it's convenient.
It's like a Volkswagen Fox. It, uh....
Okay, I suck at car analogies.
The standard might not be wrong, just difficult to implement. Though that may be a flaw in itself.
So you mean this?
It won't even acknowledge Safari, because it doesn't remember what its icon is.
It's a compass. A typical icon to indicate "navigation", in contrast to big red O's, foxes and swirly colory... things...
Well, nowadays, Chrome has been taking over that front a bit more, but they're still doing a good job (and the best job on mobile devices).
What the hell do you mean by "the Americans"? Don't you know to treat people as individuals yet?
It was Keen Day.

Don't compare to DirectX. Compare to Direct3D.
Here's a hint for you; he didn't fix someone's speech. He voiced his own opinion (or joke) in a "fixed that for you" form.
Way to read a post.
If it's a sturdy wheel, people won't mind. Otherwise, Qt and GTK wouldn't be doing so well...
The Good Olé?
No, but they'll investigate your device on how to speed up its boot time by at least 50% for a measly £4,950 + VAT...
Even the web site is quick as a flash... I got this in less than a second!
So you mean not quick at all?
Some did. Mostly the ones working on it full-time for their companies.
where is your paycheck? Hmmmmm?

Sure they would.
Open-source means freedom, doesn't that mean users of open-source are capitalists?
You know? Free, not equal?
Won't work. Everybody will be able to modify the source.
"But it has to be accepted into the main tree!", you say? Then fork it.

The "industry driven" part.
That's exactly 100 characters long.
