  1. Yes, everyone needs an income apart from their wages. And we always have needed it. Jobs are a dumb excuse for income. It makes dumb jobs just proliferate. There's tons of social surplus, and always has been. Mainly it's the value of land, nature, Earth. Just as Alaska shares some of its oil "rent", every place could share its "land rent", as Singapore does to a degree, and so does Aspen CO. And you don't have to spend it on basic needs or basic anything. It's your share of the worth of Earth. You can do anything you want with it. And it grows with progress. Look how silicon chips made Silicon Valley one of the most valuable (and least affordable) locations on Earth. That's our bonanza, for all of us. Everyone getting their fair share will get rid of the dumb jobs and shrink the workweek to what it should've been all along. We just need to lose the peasant mentality and realize we're all Earthlings.
