I for one am all for open standards as far as docking is concerned. No more awkward silences to ruin the mood.
How about a TV with a built in controller with fully configurable software for overlaying video and audio streams on the fly. The design I imagine would allow you to use the the devices and universal remotes that many people already own with a simple opaque overlay style user interface that would allow for on the fly browsing and selection of connected devices.
For the price they are charging you could essentially buy a PS3, and combine it with your current cable service and DVR if such a TV existed.

Actually, I heard it was originally developed by Nintendo as a Wii game called Wii Peeping. The point of it was you wanted to look through girls windows, but first you had to generate friction heat to power your binoculars.

How does this translate into normal transfer speed units like MB/s? Otherwise I have no point of reference to tell if I am impressed or indifferent.
