If the news is true it is a very unlikely pairing of Sam Raimi to direct Spider-man.
I'm a big fan of American Gothic as well as the ED trilogy (well Army of Darkness was pretty pants - I reckon due to Ivan Raimi helping with the script), and hope the teamup works.
But in saying this it probably won't considering his previous Super hero outings in the form of Hercules and Xena, which actually makes me worder if the film will be worth a second thought.
