I don't mean to plug, but Gentoo Linux has had a system similar to ports for quite some time now. It's superior to posts (imho) and we plan on eventually porting it to other unix-like operating systems (such as OSX, IRIX, etc.)
But is it really feasible for a teenager to blow
up the planet? Its a lot more feasible for him to
pick up a gun and wax a few of his schoolmates.
Not that I believe a movie would actually cause
him to do this anyway.
Ok, maybe if you knew *anything* about the differences in the X11 and Windows rendering systems, you would know that this *not possible* using the standard X11 rendering system, since fonts are stored as 1-bit pixmaps, not grayscale or color. Besides, you can probably expect the next versions of GTK+ and QT to support this, anyways, and the applications using these toolkits won't have to be modified. And I'm sure someone will hack it in to the libs even before their next release and put a patch on the web.
I don't play computer games (with the exception of quake). Console games are much more responsive, varied, and just plain better than computer games. In fact, I'd rather play snes games with snes9x than just about any computer game out there. Playing multiplayer console games with a group ofg friends where you can talk shit and joke around is always more fun than playing multiplayer online games w/ some random people you don't really know.
