Considering that TFA suggests that this trojan silently downloads more programs, how would you know that you have completely eradicated the bugger?
The only real solution is to nuke and reinstall OS X.
Turn your Wifi router off.
install iWork with AP turned off.
cleanup.
reconnect.
done.

Regulations... I found this: http://zierke.com/shasta_route/ and this: http://www.ebbc.org/rail/fra.html That tend to show that the main obstacle is obsolete regulations from the FRA. (sorry for the likely noob comment, see my id#)
