You say all of that, but yet he was the only real competitor Romney has had. He's won more primaries than Gingrich or Paul combined, so I don't think I'd say mainstream conservative thought has moved on from embracing the religious right at all.
Well right now we're seeing many popular projects from people who are industry veterans going back 20-25 years. These are people with established reputations as being able to manage teams, and million dollar budgets. The only thing developers have to lose in this deal is their names and reputations, which if any of them wishes to remain in the industry, that will be a huge incentive not to rip people off. I think that's why you see people putting their trust in these bigger projects. It's also why it is harder for less known people to have a successful kickstarter campaign. The community backlash from someone abusing kickstarter would be career suicide.
And Sharia Law has a 0.000000000% chance of ever becoming the law here, and yet people still worry about it, as they practice a Taliban-Lite form of religion.
Sorry, I just can't seem to give a shit enough to be outraged by a java based emulator running in a web browser. It must be nice to have a life where that is the biggest outrage you face today.
No one is going to take time to give you a basic high school education on the internet. Posting as AC because you don't want people to know you are a whackjob is more like it.
So, support the military, or be a luddite. Does that about sum it up? How about this: Those technologies are already here, have already been invented, and are already a part of our lives. If he doesn't want to help them develop *new* stuff, that is his choice. Why it makes you so butt-hurt is really puzzling to me. So the guy is a hypocrite? In my experience every fucking human being on the planet is a hypocrite to some degree.
Yeah that's a big part of what "Right To Work" is. The name itself is doublespeak. All it is about is limiting the rights of the workers, and giving all the power to the owners. Less retirement funds, less health care, less pay, and less rights for the worker is what "Right to Work" is all about. Yet another way for industries to abandon their social responsibilities.
It doesn't make sense to you because you're distilling the argument down to a binary choice, when in the real world people are more complicated than that.
You should know that he conservatives during the revolutionary war opposed most of the things you listed, and sided with the monarchy. Freedom of religion and the press are not conservative ideas at all. "Conservative" and "libertarian" are not interchangeable terms. In fact, in the rest of the world libertarians aren't known for being conservatives or right wingers, and are in fact more associated with socialist movements.
You should also know that the ACLU has been standing up for all of those rights you claim they don't "like". You should read about some of the cases they've defended some time. You might actually be surprised.
Keep telling yourself that. I see no evidence that conservatives are moving away from the religious right, and if you do, prepare for disappointment.

You and me both. It's going to be a long year of waiting.

We can not have a planetary gap!

One wind shear and your drone becomes a dirty bomb. I wonder how much money we'll throw down the rat-hole, to study this POS idea.

Don't worry, it gets better.
These same people rant and rave about Sharia Law coming to America, because they're worried it would move in on their turf.
That and he wouldn't be able to vote down comments like mine.

Numbers don't lie, but liars love to use numbers.

Of course I know, who do you think was operating the camera? Duh!!!
Stupid activists. It's almost like this guy thinks he's also free to do what he chooses. How dare he leave based on his principles!
The rest of them still haven't figured out how to frame this in to an anti-tax rant.
I'm glad we have nothing else to spend money on besides toys for the military.

Shocking news. But hey, they have cheap labor, so who cares, right? If those people were allowed free speech, they wouldn't be so cheap anymore.
Oh so that's why they dropped it. Big Bad Linux was mean to poor little Adobe, so they took their ball home after having their fee-fees hurt.

You're acting as if this man wasn't a tax payer...
