I agree. I use LaTeX to produce design docs, interface control documents and user manuals. I distribute PDFs (I use pdflatex) and HTML (latex2html). With LaTeX, I spend my time writting content, with MSWord, I spend my time mucking about with formatting and trying to make it generate proper paragraph numbers and tables of contents.

From what I gather, Avalon is Microsoft's version of Quartz. Has anyone compared the two in terms of capabilities, ease of programming etc.?
