Once the United State's enemies knew how to get this country mired in a war (use of chemical weapons) those that wanted the US to be mired in war (al-Qaeda and Daesh) only had to use chemical weapons in a way that would seemingly appear to be from Assad, which they did and almost got us into a war. They say it clearly in the preamble and then again in the 10th amendment in the bill of rights. These rights are "enumerated" from the idea of freedom but do not define it. It seems so simple to me and yet it is broadly misunderstood.
