I suppose what really needs to happen is they supply the XML document for the content and a style sheet for the presentation.
It would also be nice to be able transform the XML via a provided XSLT into fo (FO at W3C and FOP). Then you could present the document as a PDF, RTF, Doc, Java applet, or whatever.
It was not a list of songs that we could not play, it was a list of song
that either had lyrics or title (even though some were a real reach) that
some might find offensive, or inappropriate because of the tragedy of last
week. It was never meant to be a banned song list as some are reporting.
Hopefully this answers you question.

I just visited my local Circuit City. Go to the video section and ask them to look up the following: Vendor: APX Model: AD600A To their amazement, this little beauty will pop up. My local store had 4 (3 now).
The unit looks fairly clean on the front, and sparse on the back. The remote looks like my cd-changer's. The manual is nothing special, but looks readable.

Whenever I read anything the EFF is doing, I head directly to: https://www.eff.org/support/joineff-visamc.html
