Hmm, I haven't noticed anyone else comment on this so I will.. Imagine if a piece of software listened on a particular port, and if the right code came in, the software would disable itself. I could have so much fun with that actually. Next time some script kiddy annoys you with some lame nuke attack that'll never work (because you don't use faulty software like Windows), just disable their copy of Windows.
Arg! I just finished going from 2.0.36 to 2.2.7 on my main server last night. (what a rush).
Its real depressing when the frequency of reboots to an OS is dictated by the frequency of new features to it.:)
Though, I'd rather reboot my linux box every few weeks for an upgrade than reboot it for the same reason we reboot the NT server at work. "Its recommended that NT be rebooted each week to flush out any crap that gets built up in it"... Hmmm, if I flushed NT any more, it would sound like a toliet.

Just like a fairy tale. :)
:/
I've been trying to put linux on the network at work, but its too non MS for these ppl.
Its a shame that people are becomming some narrow minded. If 200 million isn't spent on advertising it, it obviously isn't any good...
