Then congratulations on living in a rich privileged suburb, I guess. If you said that in most of the United States, the cop would have just cracked you over the head with his weapon. In bad parts of the United States you would have had a reasonable chance of ending up dead.
It never ceases to amaze me how sheltered and out of touch the Slashdot community truly is.
