Hey Rob, she'll never know. Just have one person subscribe to the member's jennicam, then share the wealth with the rest of the world. Dammit, I need to know what Jenni's doing RIGHT NOW. I MUST KNOW.

Okay, I posted this earlier, but the thread I posted it under got a negative score. (Not mine, the "first post"er above mine.) Are we sure this is a real campaign? The last time this sort of thing was posted, some dude got his email account slashdotted.
In much of the media out there, most of the focus is on "paradigms" and such nonsense. None of those touchy-feely things could spring about without specific advancements (an open-source kernel, which GNU took its sweet time in making, allowing Linux to jump ahead; etc). If Jon Katz were struck dead, a million other folks would jump into his place to make shallow, "Dateline"-esqe analyses of technology. Sociology is easy. Seeing a coding project through is hard.
OK, like, perhaps I've seen too much web porn for my own good, but the site amazingsex.com seemed pretty tame. Not that I'm trying to call you a prude here, you may well have better taste than I. But they may well have changed the site around. In any event, it's cool that you stood up to them -- it's annoying that the corporations are trying to push around others.
We're currently in a patent lawsuit with another company. We have eight employees. Our whole business is with a software program that has a pantented algorithm. (A program I should continue porting instead of reading/.)
Do you have an example of companies stealing an algorithm by patented already-copyrighted formulae? The only examples of patented algorithms I know of are ones that are kept from public use.
Regardless of whether you think college is worthwhile, many employers won't give your resume a second look without a BS. If you have 2+ years of truly relevant experience, it's a different story. But it's hard to break into the industry without a bachelor's.

Yes, you CAN slashdot slashdot.
