Glad you find the link useful! There is still some playing around with scripts... I had to learn how to use vim etc... which wasn't too easy to figure out... I recommend running through the tutorial once with a virtual machine following it verbatim using the exact version of ubuntu server recommended 7.10... and using the same domain name etc... It took me a few tries to get through it successfully... Then I created my own on the real server using my own domain personalization...
I had the pleasure of formatting our Windows 2003 server this summer and completely replacing it with an Ubuntu Samba OpenLDAP Domain server using this tutorial...

The server has been working flawlessly at our school since September! We ran out of CAL's and our school is expanding very quickly. It didn't make sense to purchase more and continue paying the micro$oft tax..
If you need a Domain Server at your school like I did, here is a link to a great tutorial to put one together. It has been working without flaw since september! It is running on an old Pentium 3 machine and allows for the students to have a personal network drive and shared network drive to use for collaborative projects...

At our school I've helped the grade 8 kids to create their own interactive whiteboard using Johnny Chung's wiimote hack. It works pretty well!
They also organized some fund raising to pay for the computer and projector and I donated my second wiimote to the project.
The kids are extremely proud of the 3 different infrared pens they built!

Someone should study queuing in italy... Basically it's first come first serve for a line of 2 or fewer people. After that the line turns into an amorphous blob where people shove there way to the front by any means necessary.
As I mentioned in a more recent post... My school has replaced it's Windows 2003 server with an Ubuntu OpenLDAP Samba server... There is a link to the tutorial at the comment http://tech.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=1096387&cid=26514369
