At least TV spots are OVER and go AWAY very soon after they started... they don't go on blinking forever. And you don't have to close little stupid popup windows in order to be able to continue watching the movie.
Plus, a TV spot usually is MUCH better than a banner ad... it can be funny, have cool music etc. Banner ads are just too small to be cool.

Try typing "sex" or "porn" in google or yahoo and you see they've got paid banner ads or even sponsored links from the porn business. How can a user in the moral minority continue to use Google? Also, Google sells itself to the porn company Yahoo.
