  1. When pigs fly on Chicken Feathers May Hold Key To Hydrogen Storage · · Score: 1

The true hydogen economy will take off literally when pig wings are carbonized at 711 degrees Fahrenheit. So, we only have to wait until pigs fly.

  2. Comparing Oranges to Apple on Microsoft Accused of Squandering Billions On R&D · · Score: 2, Interesting

THis is like comparing Oranges to Apple. Microsoft does a lot of their own R&D, while Apple just pays people to do it for them. Microsoft makes more than 10x what Apple does, and did 10x the amount of R&D. So what if this year Apple made a big improvement in their profits--it's not going to happen if they keep putting out the same old system from 10 years ago. People bought iPods and iPhones because they are new and they did enough R&D to make sure it works pretty well. Nobody likes Vista because it's basically just XP with some window dressing. If they cut the R&D what are they going to do, release another XP year after year?

  3. Study CS in Taiwan on Study Abroad For Computer Science Majors? · · Score: 1

I'm a CS student in Taiwan, doing my Master's degree here. There are more and more universities here teaching all kinds of subjects in English, including computer science. The Taiwanese are very good at math, so you do need to study hard. If you're interested, you can try my university: www.ncu.edu.tw. If you go to the website you'll notice that there's a link for an English version of the website. Another thing that might be good about coming to Taiwan is that it's cheap! It's less than US$2000 a year for tuition, so you're set if you can get even a low scholarship from the university or maybe from the Taiwan office in your country.
