Just thought you would like to know that Ananova is not the first, nor will she be the last, virtual newscaster. We have had a news network (http://www.1ktv.com) using computer generated newscasters and vocal technology running for the past nine months. A major difference falls in the fact that these folks are using REAL technology to webcast their news programming. What a total waste of good bandwidth. On top of that - if you don't have at least a dsl, you can forget getting any quality. Our technology requires a 1k baud stream to deliver on-demand, instantly loading, television style news shows without download delays or break-up. Take a look and let me know if you want to try our beta plug-in. It will always be free. btw -an LA based newssite featuring a cast of about 15 virtual newscasters will be up around the middle of Feb. Regards, Kenn
