Why is it that every time something like this is discovered for Microsoft, it's their fault because they should have provided a more secure operating system. When something like this happens for other companies, malware is a fact of life.

Soap can solve the Steiner problem. Soap, in water, acts as a surfactant, which decreases the surface tension of the water. This acts to minimize the surface energy of the liquid. This should minimize surface area (graph weight), and solve the problem.
However, there is a problem with saying that P == NP because of this. Reducibility is the issue. If you can't reduce all problems in NP to this, you're sunk. The article doesn't provide such a reduction. Until such a reduction is presented, I'll remain skeptical that these alternative formulations of the problem are really solving anything interesting.

Even if bugs are not found during code reviews, code reviews help the developers know that they are accountable for their code.
