I remeber reading A Wrinkle in Time when I was in 5th or 6th grade. I got so wrapped up in it that I feigned sickness to stay home and finish it. A great book for kids.

I heartily second the Lem fans. One of the few SF authors I enjoy reading (Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars books are the only others I've read recently...they're fun).

"make Ralph Lauren an offer on his one of a kind Bugatti or start shopping for a 1962 Ferrari GTO"

I really don't think "linux.net" can be compared to a Bugatti or GTO. Those are items that are valuable due to their scarcity as you imply, but also because they are beautiful machines that serve as examples of the height of auto manufacturing and they have a place in its history. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people reselling domain names as long as they aren't obviously squatting. I just don't think snapping up a domain name or two is the same as collecting beautiful machinery. It is an almost exclusively speculative act. Take a look at some of the howlers on ebay if you want to see what I mean. How about $3,000,000 for "EarthsAngel.com" (sic)?
