What a narrow minded and presumptious statement to post. Maybe you should just read then you might not be posting such generalising idiocy as you have.
"An eye for an eye, he deserved to be murdered 77 times" Really ? as other people have already said that may work if it wasn't for miscarriages of justice, the tampering of evidence etc. There are suggestions that he was not alone in this event, maybe that should be investigated properly before people get on their high horse and hand out judgement.
That would depend on which people you mean, the readers or the newspaper owners. I think readers would be willing to pay for good insightful journalism. I know I would.
It seems that it's the owners that do not wish to pay for it. There's a great book called 'Flat Earth News' by Nick Davies which looks at the how the quality of reporting has been gradually eroded over the last couple of decades. It says that this has been at all levels of reporting international, national and local.
I am not sure about other areas but where I am based, which is just along the road from Hastings (the 1066 Hastings) we have seen the creation of a new free and independent newspaper, Hastings has similar. These papers have a larger amount of column inches given to reporting as opposed to advertising.
As for the ad-blocking issue I don't mind letting some through on some of the sites I visit. The thing that really amazed me was that after installing noscript on palemoon, was how many sites displayed nothing, unless permissions were set.
I wouldn't call myself a complete noob but I am definitely not as tech aware as some that post here but if anyone can explain to me how a site can be active, yet display zero content if something like noscript or umatrix are being used. Does this mean that the company hasn't produced any original content and everything on their site is third ?
This is a genuine question, as I type this noscript is telling me that there are 40 scripts associated with this page giving domains that for the life of me I can't work out how they are connected to/.

am only just catching up with this story and my first thought was how did he get weapons past security ?

"When tell the cops that you will let them go, once they comply with you demands then you are no longer peaceful or a victim"
One of the most incoherent and funniest things I have read today, thanks
