    Don't know about Guatemala or Colombia, but private firearm ownership is more or less illegal in Mexico.

    It's my understanding that a lot of the injuries were fingers or ears that had been cut off. Not generally something you go for if your intent is to kill.

    No, it doesn't really apply at all. With a gun you have multiple chances to hit a target, and you also have multiple chances to hit multiple target. The same rules do not apply as with something where you have one chance to hit one target.

    "Protected environment?" That's quite possibly the least protected environment on earth. That's why he chose it.

    There is no number. The 9/11 attacks didn't kill enough people for me to support draconian "alterations" to the Fourth Amendment. So, evidently, 3,000+ people, including children isn't enough at one time for me to want to start throwing away fundamental rights over something so rare.

    Is there any sacrifice of liberty you can't be sufficiently scared into supporting?

    I really don't see what suicide has to do with anything. You wanna check out, that's your choice.

    But any effort spent defending the practicality or utility of a P220 under the pillow is utterly wasted.

    Under the pillow would be a horrible place for it.

    You also seem to be implying that people aren't mentally capable of using firearms safely and/or defensively. That is absurd.
