  1. Re:If they could increase my memory. . . on Learning About Genetic Engineering On The Net · · Score: 1

OF FREAKING COUSE IT WOULD HAVE "unforseen drawbacks"!!! While they give you that increased intelligence and physical strength, why not make some built-in weapons and make our bodies impervious to most forms of damage. That way when someone is born (no wait not born, made) like that and they happen to be insane they are an ultra-intelligent and nearly unstoppable psychopath bent on killing everyone they see for sport. See how much of an "overall boon to humanity" it is then.

  2. I sure wish i could see the future like Cliff on Learning About Genetic Engineering On The Net · · Score: 1

Well i do :P And since i doubt he really can see the future, i think ill see the present - right now the only reason scientists are engineering stuff is for research (human genome not even done yet i think) or to make some simple things easier (tomatoes that dont rot as fast and cows that produce more milk). This is all very far from "genetically enhanced super-humans". And i sure hope that will never happen. But if it does something will go horribly wrong (usually happens when people that arent God try to be Him) and we will learn our lesson or all be wiped out by the psychotic body-building geniuses. Reminds me of the Eve episode of The X-Files where they tried to make genetically enhanced humans, and it worked - increased intelligence, increased physical strength, increased psychosis. That last one is the kicker.

  3. there were problems??? theres a big suprise on 35,765 Internet Votes Cast by Arizona Democrats · · Score: 1

wow you mean a website set up by old Uncle Sam didnt work on a system built by "Software Architect" Bill "the messiah" Gates didnt work?? How is this possible?? ;) And futhermore, when something like this happens it seems more and more like the short story i read where a guy decided to go out for a walk one night - a robotic cop arrested him and threw him in the loony bin for not sitting at home watching TV. Right now you can do everything else online, lets have you vote too, and then maybe you wont notice or care when your vote for Candidate A is replaced by a write in vote for bill gates III, or even better when everyones vote is lost but a few extremist loonies who dont trust "them computer doowhackys" and some millitia leader from West Virginia is elected pres.
