My favorite was to change the colour schemes of X/CDE/Winders to all white.
I had a floppy I kept in my toolkit, and would pop into the drive while folks were on break. Execute the script/reg file, and Voila! everything is white/black/blue/yellow/colour of your choice.
total PITA.... I ended up with a script to back-up the existing settings....
The Gigaphone is 2.4Ghz, handset has integrated speakerphone, callerID 50 number memory. Expanable, with sperate charges for each handset you add to the system. Basesets come as a plain, digital answer, speakerphone. Speakerphone works well, with few complaints from callers.
They have the great range you expect from 2.4, and I've seen a newer 5Ghz version.
Best of all, NiMh batteries. I've had a 4 handset system for 2 years, and the only problem I've hand is forgetting to put the handset on the charger for a few days. When this happens....I reach for the base, and grab the spare that sits there on charge. Swap, and go.
The E Series (E-10/E-20) use both SM, and CF. I have an E-10 with a 1 gig Microdrive. It'll store over a thousand pics.
Available are 2 telephotos (1.5 &3), a wide angle, and a Macro. All of the extra lenses are screw mount, ie. the screw onto the front of the included standard lens.
The E-10 is awesome, and worth every penny.

like rasmus.com. Not fond of them myself, but they auction off a lot of Washington DC area and east coast dot coms that have gone under.
I've gotten some great deals there, and seen lots of things go for too much. Know what you want, and what it's worth.
Not the most expensive phones on the market, but far from shoddy. We've been using the VT-2431 at home for over a year now. Speaker phone handsets, Caller ID, and CID w/Call waiting, speaker base. The base has a spot for an extra battery. Only had one problem with the base, exchanged it, reset the system, and voila.... And, yes, the speaker on the handsets works quite well, from both ends of the call. All four phones make it half a block to the mail box, all three levels of the town house. Each hand set has it's own charger base. Two people can use the phone at the same time, and no interference. Worth the money.
There are two other bases available, plain jane, and one with a built in digital answering machine.
I am in your wifes boat... can't stand being to close to the city... The Dulles area has grown up too much.....
Broadband ISP out in Bluemount, I noticed a Sys admin out in Hamilton....
There are large websites running out of Charlottesville.....
Depends on what and where... I've made a habit of finding the jobs out there... if only my wife would move with me!
