Thats a fallacious argument. If I'd downloaded some Tori Amos and then decided to by her first three records, I'd have more than cancelled you out (I didn't, I already own these records).
The fact remains that neither you nor I (or anyone else) have any hard knowledge on which to judge Napster's effect on sales, only conjecture and one poorly researched survey.
for any 'n' points, there is a (unique) polynomial of degree 'n-1' (or less) that takes these values for x = '1,2,3,4,5,6,....,' and an infinite number of higher degree polynomials. So generating a finite number of points, doesn't guarantee you've detected which sequence you're generating.
