This ruling seems idiotic to me. I can already choose what browser i want to use. I install windows, open IE, downloaded firefox, and never see IE again (unless i run into the rare website that doesn't play nice with firefox, then i'm glad to have IE as the alternative).
The process couldn't be easier. ALL i need is an internet connection.
Microsoft (or manufactures) shouldn't be forced to advertise other browsers.
A good alternative might to be force Microsoft to create a version of windows that cost X dollars less and comes without a browser. Force them to unbundled the products, but don't force them to bundle someone else's product.
