    The cost is not $10,000,000 and one year. It's whatever the equipment depreciates in one year and one year.

    If the hardware costs half what it does today in 18 months, one would expect to recoup about 63 cents on the dollar a year from now. So the cost under that depreciation rate is about 3.7 million dollars and one year.

    So far cracking is only a risk for high net worth individuals with plunderable assets. That doesn't mean that those with power won't do inefficient things.

    Drug lords, the rich, and those that piss off the governments of the world should upgrade.
