I agree with Katz on the point that the 'Net Revolution' has lost it's touch with humanity, but so has everything else. If it hadn't, we wouldn't have some of the things that we do today, like a Patent Office that allows a patent on the overly used '1-Click Technology'. We have the RIAA and MPAA abandoning it's customer base just to make a few extra (million) dollars a year. Without this abandonment, life would be very simple, but who want's simple?
I remember when I accidentally sent a message to one of my friends (the mail got sifted through a giant procmailrc). I had attached a Perl script that he had asked for, and when they sifted the message, the auto-replied to me with a Cease and Desist(?), all because I had attached a Perl script that they thought was a virus...
Why should we, the SETI@home users, do a distributed program for folding proteins, when IBM is paying many millions of dollars to create "supercomputers" to do just that?
You should try either USPS, or FedEx. FedEx is also sposed to ship anywhere in the world, but many times they offer better service at a better price. This could be the simplest answer you have.
Not really. Try closer to 3 or 4. I had (have? dunno) a P120 w/ 73 Mb RAM, that took ~~ 53 hours to complete on WU. My new machine should be able to run them a little faster. A PIII 950 with 1 GB of RAM....;)

Oh my god! You can get cancer from a Cell Phone? Maybe that's why my ear has turned a bright shade of purple, and always seems to fall off at the most inappropriate times...
Sorry for the soon to be vulgarity of this post, but Rob, plase, will you ban this asshole's IP from posting here temporarily? I'm tired of having to scroll through about 10 page lengths of responses to see just 4 of his. Sorry if anybody wants to mod me down, but I'm tired of this crap!
Can somebody explain to me the actual purpose of a distributed OS? Wouldn't that just essentially screw over a whole bunch of people if one person "accidentally" removed a few necessary files? Like a distributed Windows, if the registry "suddenly" became corrupted, then everybody else would be in some hot water later when they wanted to do something.
I know that it's not the best choice of OS's, but it's what we use at work. I personally hope that Mozilla doesn't die, cuz it's a great browser, but more often than not, it causes GPF's and the like, but so does everything else on my box. I'm really disturbed at the news (if it's true), and just hope that the builds can handle HTML better than it currently does.
Did anybody look at the IBM website for this thing? 3 transistors per pixel, 1.64 miles of wiring for the LCD alone... No wonder it's gonna be priced outrageously... In case you can't find the link, click here to go there.
How much can we really trust this article when the title of the article on their page isn't even spelled correctly? They spell 'Vulnerable' as 'Vunerable'. I wonder. Glen tutorial1.cjb.net

Well, since they have Lego Technic, how about a drivable car/truck/motorcycle etc.... Glen
