Dreamcast currently has a 56k modem with an upcomming ethernet adapter for broadband capabilities. Its currently has a keyboard with an upcomming mouse. It also has a vga adapter for a pc monitor for games that use 640x480 resolution. So most of the rants about consoles aren't even valid. A hard drive would be interesting to see what they can do with it. BUT, also Iomega is comming out with a zip drive addon for dreamcast which can open the door for a lot of things. Seganet goes live September 7th. And for those who think the dreamcast sucks should honestly try playing it for once. The 8:1 Texture compression and FSAA are feature that PS2 just don't have. The PS2 Lacks memory so it can't even reach its full potential. And i also have a nice 5.1 setup at home that works great with the dreamcast's high quality sound processor (although i use it in 2.0).
Why argue about where it came from or how it works. I think if they didn't have such a bloat OS they wouldn't have such a problem. I cannot see any real advantage to this. Like one of you guys said, a P3 800 on windows 2000 with "features" will run like a p2 400 on windows 95. I think its inevitable unix style operating systems are far superior. The fact that Microsoft's operating system is actually DOS and that Windows is the GUI with tons of bloat (all the drivers and such should be held outside of the GUI). Untill we see something like 'DOS NT'. With all their so called inovations the thing is going to explode because it is so bloated.
Why are people so new. It's Trin00. Some of them have like 800 megabytes of bandwidth to throw at your router. Its not linux. It's not Microsoft nor Cisco. Its like a Botnet of eggdrops linked together you send one command and all of the computers run the command. So if i was on a Trin00 network and i wanted to take out joeblow.com i would send one command. (takeout joeblow.com) and all the computers linked to the network would hit joeblow.com with alot of crap. Something similar happend here. It was so bad i coudln't even console to my router. I had to pull my ATM link offline.
