  1. Re:BookCrossing on Solving the Home Library Problem? · · Score: 5, Informative

On the Macintosh there is a program called Delicious Library that lets you use your iSight web cam to read in the bar codes. It then looks up the product at Amazon and stores it in your "library." You could scan in all your books (and movies and CD's) and sort them by Author or my Title to see which you like best. Then file them accordingly. It gets the book cover off the web too and gives you a virtual book shelf. The software also lets you check-out the book and track that activity. http://www.delicious-monster.com/ This program pretty much rules.

  2. Architecture majors at UIUC.... on Intellectual Property Issues In College? · · Score: 1

Architecture majors at UIUC don't have any rights to any of the models or projects that they build for classes aven though the University doesnt pay for any of it. I have friends that have spent hundreds of dollars building a single model and they don't gt to keep it! I dont understand how the University can claim ownership of something it had no part in the making of, intellectually or otherwise.

  4. What about the altivec enhanced version... on SETI@Home Version 3.0 Client Preview · · Score: 1

They didn't release the altivec enhanced version of Seti@Home for G4 users due to the fact that G4 users would be able to complete Blocks much faster than PC users ... So, if they are going to let people use that PCI card, shouldn't they release the altivec anhanced version? Just a thought.

  5. Meader makes up or takes credit from others for .. on Rumors Removed At Apple's Request · · Score: 1

Meader makes up or takes credit from others for all his stories anyway. Go check out http://www.mosr.net They love Meader over there. The reason that Apple wants to put a stop to him is that people actually believe a lot of the crap that he puts on his page. So, the moral of this story is: Put a stop to guaranteed bullshit in a world already full of uncertainty before it damages your rep. when you don't live up to it.
