  1. Does it do anything at all? on Chrome OS Remains Undefeated At Pwnium 3 · · Score: 2

I mean Does chrome OS runs /have anything of value at all? all the data is kept on the server side. Most of the processing happens through browser. so if session is closed there is nothing of value left on the machine unless you re-login. Is that correct?

It all depends on whether it was a criminal act of stealing or civil act of taking ownership (Adverse possession). If itâ(TM)s later the statue is long gone. The moon rock belongs to the guy. State has lost the right to repossess it. If state threw item in question in the garbage and did not look for it until recently, then I am leaning towards being it later.

Microsoft would have a total pile but since they can't even do SSL on their update sites they are running cheap and probably have less than 300k even with hotmail

The update protocol does winhttps (SSL). The actual file downloads are simple winhttp, since they are signed.

Also any natural language text, digitized music, still and motion pictures are abundent resources, in economic terms everything which is mentioned here is non-subtractable. My use of digitized media does not diminish your use of it. It is an ideal thing to put in a communal plot. ....Err, There always be value attached to any digitized media, or set of computer control instructions. And the creator should say whether he wants it to put into a communal plot. Most of the value comes from creator's time invested creating the creation + his time experienced learning trades of his profession. most self serving creators will not put their work in the communal plot if that is thier primary source to generate income.

  10. Third party patents on Why Windows Must (and Will) Go Open Source · · Score: 1

This won't happen because of only one reason, Windows have lots of third party code with patents, and third parties won't release them to public domain. It is the precise reason Microsoft did not open sourced OS/2.
