At Sept.1998 wrote a MasterBootRecord using them (choose partition, with about 40 bytes of user-selected names), and a 1024-byte ext2 boot loader that looks up the kernel in the directory structure (no 'map' file!). See ftp://ftp.teleport.com/pub/users/jreiser . Although EDD extends to 2TB, the (E)IDE interface supports only 128GB."
